I am thrilled to announce our new partnership with Hurricane Electric and that the Channel Community now has a means to engage their clients directly with HE and get paid!

What I admire most about HE, second of course to their massive global IPv6 backbone, is the passion, purpose and vision driving HE’s founder and CEO Mike Leber.  Mike has proven time and again to be one of the most humble, admirable and technically savvy CEO’s in the telecommunications industry. His mission to leverage the company to fuel technical literacy and training is directly in line with the core values of OSI, and I look forward to supporting HE in every way we possibly can.

FREMONT, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Hurricane Electric, the world’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone and leading colocation provider, today announced that it has launched a channel partner program to help broaden the reach of its Internet connectivity and colocation services. Hurricane Electric launched the channel partner program to allow outside agents the opportunity to sell Hurricane Electric’s services, which include nearly 300,000 square feet of data center space in Silicon Valley as well as global IP transit that is accessible in twenty-two countries and twenty US states. Agents with experience selling IP transit and/or colocation are encouraged to apply to participate in the HE.net Channel Program.

The HE.net Channel Program offers its partners the following benefits:

  • Instant Lead Registration

“Hurricane Electric is excited to launch this channel partner program and announce the addition of our inaugural Master Agent, Open Spectrum,” said Mark Welch, Director, Channel Sales Development at Hurricane Electric. “I am confident that Open Spectrum and other partners that join Hurricane Electric’s channel partner program will help us broaden the depth and reach of our next generation IP transit and colocation services.”

Hurricane Electric offers some of the most competitive IP transit prices the North American and European markets. “Open Spectrum looks forward to our partnership with a leading technology player like Hurricane Electric,” said Sean Patrick Tario, Founder and CEO, Open Spectrum, Inc. “ For the last twenty years, Hurricane Electric has been at the forefront of next generation Internet technology and was the first to bring attention to the importance of IPv6 adoption. Hurricane Electric’s forward thinking culture coupled with Open Spectrum’s penetration in the market will ensure continued growth for both companies.”
