Custom Google Data Center Network Pushed 1 Petabyte per second
This 5th generation data center from Google is capable of transmitting 1 petabyte per second, the equivalent of transmitting 5,000 two hour long HDTV shows in under 1 second. Google has accomplished this by using Clos topology, a centralized software stack that can manage thousands of switches, and uses its own software and hardware that it has built in house.
