I’ll keep this short and sweet and let you do the learning on your own, but in brief, Intel and others have found new ways to leverage lasers and other fiber optics to make processors that are A LOT faster.
The reality is that these new chips will in fact require less power and thus require less cooling, however I seriously doubt this technology will make data centers drastically more efficient… unlike what the title suggests.

What is far more mind blowing to me is what will be accomplished once this tech is in full production…
Yes, holograms like this are possible now, but with the pipes getting bigger and processors getting faster, hologram technology like this is becoming cheaper and cheaper by the minute… and I for one will be stoked to see more along the lines of this (especially when it can be projected in my living room),
